At 50 years, of Buffalo, June 14, 2007, beloved son of Robert K. and the late Mary Deane Freeland; brother of Ann (Clifford) Arnold, Ellen (Dr. William) Hallahan of Honeoye Falls, NY and the late James Freeland; grandson of Marion C. (late Laurence) Freeland of Seneca Falls, NY; also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; life partner of Carla. Friends may call at D. LAWRENCE GINNANE FUNERAL HOME, 3215 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, Sunday 7-9, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment Seneca Falls, NY. As I work to put together a Pegasus cd I fondly remember getting permission slips from your parents to play in the Bona Vista, Mc Vans, etc. long ago my friend. Mark went to my High School . He was older than I . He returned one day to “perform/lecture/chat with my Humanities class . Bringing his acoustic and casually dropping F bombs the students and I were riveted . Knowing Jimbo as well I attended a party at his parents house . I recently went back in my music collection and spent some time listening to early Genesis. Of course this brought me back to Mark Freeland and my days at SUNY Buffalo. I have not been able to get Mark out of my mind since I listened to Genesis last week. He loved Genesis and Peter Gabriel in particular.
