Not sure what to say?

I just read a quote from C.S. Lewis. "Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less". This quote made me think of Mark. I appreciate all he instilled in me as my coach and more importantly as my friend.

It is with sadness my husband & family learned of Mark's untimely passing. As a long time wrestling official (now retired), I always appreciated the many fine qualities he exhibited as a positive role model during so many wrestling seasons. Always polite, kind, helpful and dedicated, his memory will live on from his example to the thousands he impacted so honorably.

Mark´s dedication to young athletes and students has been a constant inspiration in the Carroll wrestling program, in our school, and in our own family. From wrestling matches to celebrating family milestones, he has been a dear friend. I am so thankful to have had spent a lot of time with him in the beginning of my teaching career to be an incredible example in my own life and work. His legacy in his faith, love, and care for humans helps remind me to put relationships first.
