MARK N. GOLDSTEIN

All these years later, my family and I still remember the tremendous doctor and friend we had in Dr. Goldstein. Our sons were born around the same time and Dr. Goldstein cared for so many in our family. I read his letter in disbelief and pain over the loss we were about to experience. My best to his wife and son. We miss you Dr. Goldstein, your compassion and expertise.

I truly trusted him
I met him at Montefiore Hospital
Then Long Island Jewish and then Ear nose and throat hospital in Manhattan
Each time he was compassionate and very thorough

He removed a lump from my throat

Dr. Goldstein treated my entire family. Such a wonderful and brilliant man. He was " our " guy.....and one of those rare individuals who leaves everything better than he found it . I hope that he and his family received the letter I wrote upon learning of his illness. Rest In Peace to a simply wonderful man.

Dr. Goldstein,
I owe you much more than I can ever repay to you or your legacy. At 9 years old, you saved my hearing. A boy with cholesteatoma, that other ENT's said was going to be completely deaf in my left ear. With your amazing skills, not only did you remove my cholesteatoma, but a year later removed scar tissue on my ear drum, that you rebuilt allowing for me to hear even better. I am trying to reach Mrs. Goldstein to let her know that Dr. Goldstein was portrayed by my 8-year-old daughter as her "Quiet Hero". There is a video I would like to share with her. He is a wonderful man, that we will never forget.

My husband and I were greatly saddened by the passing of Dr. G.. He was my doctor since 1996.. Operated on me and was the most amazing human being .. We both loved him as a doctor and a human being... Our condolences to his wife and son who he always spoke about with great pride. Sharyn and Gary Kevin

My condolences to the Goldstein family. I wrote Dr. Goldstein a card after receiving his letter from the medical office stating he was ill. My note just came back in the mail saying it was undeliverable and couldn't be forwarded. I will post it here in hopes that it can comfort his family and friends and to share how wonderful he was:

PS- My daughter Maria & I heard of his passing while being examined by her new ENT (Who Dr Goldstein recommended) & she immediately said w/ tears in her eyes, "That's not good. That's not good. THAT'S not good." She is 6, it was heart wrenching. I feel awful for his family to lose such a genuine man.
