GREGSON, Mark C., Sr. – Of Flint Township, age 61 joined his loved ones in heaven, Thursday, February 2, 2023 from his residence, surrounded by those he loved most in this world.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Mark Lasley officiating. Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Mark was born in Flint on April 26, 1961 to William (Perry) and Laura J (Woodcock) Gregson, the middle of three children. He graduated from Carman High School in 1978. He grew up shadowing his Dad and Grandfather on their 5 acre plot of land in Flint Township. Mark was inquisitive, energetic and strong-willed and he had a good heart. Mark was father to three children, Mark Jr., Kristina, and Angila (Mike) Barrett all of whom he loved with all of his heart. He was also close to his grandchildren, Austin (Callie), Mark Christopher, Ashley, Dylan, Katelynn, Masen, Autumn, and Brayden; and great-grandchildren Bentley and Dyani.
Mark loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and playing on his tractor. He was an “adrenaline junkie” who loved sledding, mud bogging and driving on the sand dunes of western Michigan. He had big dreams for his next adventures. He was a collector of treasures and loved animals, especially his dogs.
Mark is survived by his mother, Laura, his sister, Laurie (Steve) Britton, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; second mother Aunt Peggy (Ken) Johnson, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Father, William Perry; brother, William L (Bill), and his best friend and furbaby Remington, who he laid to rest just last week.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.

My heart goes out to all family for the loss of Mark Gregson. He will truly be missed by all, especially his grand kids, Austin, Markie, Ashley,Masen, Bentley and Dyani. The kids will truly miss all the jokes, laughs and guitar lessons he would give. He will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

My heart goes out to this family for the loss of Mark. He was such a wonderful man. I can't remember anytime in my life that he wasn't in it! We played together as children , laughed together, cried together and prayed together! I always knew one day one of us would say goodbye to the other but I never thought it would be this soon! My heart will forever miss Mark but I KNOW I will see him again. Rest easy my sweet friend. I'll always love and miss you!

Mrs. Gregson, sorry for the the loss of your son Mark. He was a great friend to my sister Cricket. We all grew up together and went to school together. I knew Bill as well.
