Not sure what to say?

Mr. Gustafson was my English professor in 1980-81 at Muskegon Community College. His class was my favorite, even though I was majoring in music. I remember his style as being relaxed, as well as informative & even fun. I learned a lot from him. He was a great teacher & wonderful human.

Now that I'm in my early 60's, I tend to reflect on the past. One memory in perticuler was my days as a student at Muskegon Community College. I remember taking a freshman English course with Mark Gustafson, one of my favorite instructors. As I proceeded to look him up, I found out that he passed away in 2021. Something struck me to day to search on Mr. Gustafson's name. He was a wonderful Horizon Books customer always getting interesting books for the UU discussion group. He always had a kind word, a smile, and a thoughtful comment. Sorry to see he has moved on to the great reading room of eternity. May the many great memories keep consoling family members. I am grateful his life touched mine briefly. Margaret Schaal of Horizon Books

Mark was a wonderful friend to Neil. I´m so sorry for your loss, Solveig.

I had Mark for an English Lit class, I think 1973. He was a great teacher and a friend as well. I have fond memories of meeting his family and sailing with him on Torch Lake.

Mark graduated with my sister, Irene. Many fine memories of the Gustafson family. My sympathy to his family and friends.

My heart is broken. Not only did I have the experience of being in several of Mark's MCC classes, but you shared with me your wonderful two children in my classroom at Marquette Elementary School. Please find solace in wonderful memories.

Solveig, so,so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. Sending love and sympathy to you and your family.

Mark was a great guy and a pleasure to have in our community!
