Today I am reminded of this wonderful man. Not only was he an incredible coach and teacher, but great friend to my family. When days like this come around, I want to make sure his memory lives on in us that knew and loved him. The tradition continues for you, coach! Go Lions!

I feel like I know Mark Howard just by reading about his love for coaching baseball and his family. What an awesome coach he was! I was a high school cross country coach at Costa Mesa High School in Costa Mesa, California 1987 through 2001. My coaching career ended early due to a back injury. God bless his family! Coach Mark Howard will be missed!

I was fortunate enough to have played baseball for Mark and was fortunate to have his impact on my life. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and the lessons he taught us will impact our lives for forever.
