Not sure what to say?

Mark and I were student driver´s together at Munster High School in 1971 with Mr. Haas as our instructor. We had a lot of laughs together. However, our paths diverged afterwards, but I always thought highly of Mark. I regret that we lost touch.

I did not know Mark Kiesling well but I have always admired his work. He was a courageous man who wrote tirelessly of the wrongs he saw around him.

I did have the opportunity to meet Mark, accidentally, late one evening at Strak & Van Tils. I was wheeling my cart around the canned goods aisle and crashed headlong into his cart. He was startled and I apologized. I recognized him immediately and shouted “Mark!” He looked around nervously. I laughed and assured him I wasn't a politician...

I am very sorry to here about the death of Mark Kiesling. I enjoyed reading his articles in the paper and will miss them very much.My sympathy to his family, friends and co-workers

I did not know Mark personally, but some of my family did. I will definitely miss reading his column and found the perfect words and phrases to convey his thoughts in his column. Condolences to his family and friends.

Sending much love to Donna and the kids. So sorry to hear of Mark's sudden passing - am glad to have such happy memories from our newspaper days.

My prayers go out to the Kiesling Family. I'm very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Mark's company at the softball games. I will miss him along with his wonderful insight.

I worked with Donna and Mark in the 80's at the Daily Calumet before they got married, I moved to Arizona in 1988 but have always followed his column in the Times. It was with sadness that I read of his passing. My condolences to his family, and to Donna, may he rest in peace.

I was shocked and saddened greatly to hear of Mark's sudden passing. Mark and his former wife, Donna had been good friends of my late husband, Jerry and I and had helped us greatly when Jerry was terminally ill. I will always remember Mark's great sense of humor and positive outlook on life. Over the years, our paths had crossed again as his son, Nicholas played baseball with my son. Mark was a wonderful husband, father, coach, and writer. He will be surely missed for his words of wisdom...
