Mark Lampard

Mark Lampard, age 68 of Genoa, IL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.   He was born on June 19, 1953, in Belvidere IL, to Clifford and Mary (Stevens) Lampard.  He was raised in Genoa and spent his life there.  Mark married Janette Finn on July 26, 1984.

Mark was very proud of owning and operating the Kishwaukee Fur Company for almost 50 years.  He made good friends along his fur buying travels.  He was a heavy equipment operator for the Local 150 for over 35 years.  Mark was very knowledgeable about hunting, trapping and raising a variety of “critters.” He loved traveling with Janette in their RV to various destinations.  He was very passionate about his ½ acre garden, always eager to show it off.  He took such pride in his children and in being “Papa” to his grandchildren, taking them on tractor rides, growing them pumpkins, and feeding them full of candy from his stash in his office desk.  Another one of Mark’s loves was his 1973 Dodge Charger of which he was the original owner.

Mark is survived by his wife, Janette, his mother, Mary Dittman, three children, Marcus (Sarah) Lampard, Victoria (John) Lampard, and Mary (Mike) Bove, and his six grandchildren, Jackson and Emma Lampard, Christian and Mackenzie Lampard, and Grace and Ellie Bove.  He is also survived by his sister Carol Lampard and brother Kent (Angie) Lampard and many nieces and nephews.  Mark was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Lampard and brothers Jack and Russell Lampard.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sycamore with Father Carl Beekman officiating.  Burial will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00pm at North Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, IL.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Finch Funeral Home in DeKalb.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb, IL 60115 815-758-3841.

To Janette and the entire Lampard family,
Please accept our sincere sympathy on the passing of Mark. Hold his memories in your heart as you struggle to get through this. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

My sympathies to all of the Lampard family, Marcus grew up with our son Vincent. Mark was a good man, many memories of Hills, football games, activities in Genoa, and even used the fur farm since my guys are avid hunters. He will be missed. Vince, Anna Margiotta, Cortland, Il.
