Read MoreI met Mark at Highland junior high school. I was kind of like his big brother. We hung out together and had a lot of fun climbing up the mountain behind his house. Last time I saw him was after my graduation in 1974 I left and went to college at the University of Idaho, he was truly a good friend. He will be well missed rest in peace, my brother. Big Chris.

The first time I met Mark, I had just moved into our house. Mark came walking down the street with "Chip" on his shoulder. He said that Chip had spent all his energy chasing ground squirrels in the field behind Mervyns. Every day they would walk down to the field and every day, Mark would be carrying Chip back. Mark was a great guy and will be missed. Please leave the chair out front for a little while longer...

Sorry to hear of Mark's passing. One of "the big kids" on our street, older brother of my brother's classmate. I didn't know him well but clearly remember how he smiled all the time, seemed to have an inner contentment. And that beautiful silvery Malamute Niki!
