Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of...
MARK DOUGLAS LEAP
Mark Douglas Leap, age 38, of Madison, passed away at 4:00 AM on Friday, January 28, 2005, at his residence.
He was born September 29, 1966, in Madison, to Larry D. Neel Leap and Gloria (Taylor) Leap. He was raised in Vevay and was a 1985 graduate of Switzerland County High School, where he participated in band, 4-H, FFA and playing baseball. He had resided in Indianapolis for several years and had lived in the Madison community for the past 16 years. He was a member of the River Valley Community Church in Madison. Mark was a self-employed carpenter for many years and enjoyed remodeling and fixing just about anything. He loved watching NASCAR, Bengals Football, socializing with friends and pitching horseshoes. His death follows a courageous 18-month fight against melanoma.
SURVIVORS
Mark will be missed by his two daughters, Jessica Marie Leap and Megan Joy Leap, both of Hanover, IN; his mother, Gloria Taylor Leap, of Batavia, OH; two sisters, Jennifer Sproles & her husband, Ernie, and Cassie C. Baker & her husband, Shane, of Madison; his maternal grandmother, Mary Taylor, of Hanover; his paternal grandmother, Estene Cole Leap, of Vevay; nephews & nieces, Tyler, Mariah, Sage and Gage; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives including his cousin and caregiver, Dale Dixon, Jr. & his wife, Cheryl, of Vevay.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Larry D. Neel Leap, on Jan. 11, 2001; maternal grandfather, William Taylor, on Dec. 26, 2003 and paternal grandfather, Joseph E. Leap, on March 4, 1979.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Mark will be remembered in a funeral ceremony conducted by Pastor Steve Pike at 2:00 PM on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay. Interment will follow in Vevay Cemetery.
VISITATION.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison. Visitation will continue Sunday, Jan. 30, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay.

Jennifer & Casie....Was stunned to hear of Mark's death as I didn't even know he was ill. I'm very sorry. I always liked Mark and ran into him occasionally in Madison-he always stopped and chatted with me awhile.
