MARK LOREN LEMOINE ROY - Mark "Priest" Lemoine passed away on Aug. 20, 2009. Mark was born 1-8-64, to Verna Lea & Norman Lemoine. For many years he traveled the U.S with his family until they settled in Southern Idaho where he proceeded to cause more then his share of trouble. He met his true love, Ruby, and their son was born June 1990. They were married in June 1991 and their second son was born April 1993. Their mutual drug/alcohol problems became so severe that they were divorced a couple years later. Mark did have many accomplishments in his life, but none that he was more proud of than the day he finally got sober, 3-15-96. The miracle of the 12 Step Drug/Alcohol Recovery Program finally clicked for him while he was serving time. Ruby had also gotten sober with the 12 Step Program. Because of the miracle of Recovery, they were able to repair their relationship and were remarried in June 1997. From that time to this one, they raised their boys in a loving, stable home with the principles of recovery. Mark was a very active member of Cocaine Anonymous as well as attending other 12 Step programs. He served on many different committees during his 13 years sober and he was of service to those around him. He shared how he finally got connected to a Higher Power. He shared his struggles and triumphs so everyone knew it was possible to go through life without using drugs/alcohol. There are untold numbers of men and women he helped when they were struggling to stay sober. In 2004, Mark found a new way to spread the recovery message when he joined the Sober Riders Motorcycle Club. Motorcycle rides with his brothers and sisters in the club always brought him great joy. It was on one of these rides that he died sober doing what he loved. Mark is survived by his wife, Ruby, his boys, Cougar & Drac', his mother, Verna Lea, and his brother, Joe. His legacy will live through them, as well as through the people who continue to carry his message of hope in 12 Step meetings and those who ride free as he did. He will be greatly missed. We ask those of you with stories of Mark, to write them down so the boys and family can share them as well. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted on behalf of the boys. Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 12 Noon at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy. Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to services. There will be a motor cycle ride following services.
