Mark C. Lorah, 97, of Hellertown, formerly of Lower Saucon Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. He was the beloved husband of Darthy M. (Frey) Lorah. Born in East Weissport on December 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Oliver V. and Tivilia (May) Lorah. Mark served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his military service, he worked for 28 years as a supervisor at the former Waylite Company. He later continued his career as a salesman at Builder’s Square in Allentown until retiring. A faithful and devoted member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown, Mark served his church community as a member of the Consistory, Deacon, Trustee, and as part of the Dart Baseball team. He also served as a Scout Leader for Pack 319 and was a Life Member of Se-Wy-Co. As a proud member of the Miller-Keystone Blood Center's 40 Gallon Club, he gave generously of himself in service to others.
He is survived by his two grandchildren: Ryan D. Lorah of Quakertown and Alyssa J. (Jimmy C.) Yen of West Chester; great grandchildren: Ivy Lorah, Caleb Yen and Alexandra Yen. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory A. Lorah; brothers, Alvin, Willard, Nevin, and Lloyd; and sisters, Bertha Walk and Alverda Everett.
Services: Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by the service at 11 a.m.. The interment will be at The Union Cemetery of Hellertown. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans following the graveside service. Online expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.heintzelmanfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mark’s name may be made to First United Church of Christ, designated for next year’s books for Vacation Bible School, 501 Northampton Street, Hellertown, PA 18055.

I was in Troop 19 of the Boy Scouts with Greg and my family belonged to First UCC church while Mr. Lorah was active. I can honestly say that I never met nicer family than Mark, Darthy and Greg. My condolences to the family.
