Not sure what to say?

Bobby (Earl) and I just found heard of Mark's passing. We wish we would've known. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark's family during this trying time. Special thoughts and prayers go out to the Class of '71 who I know have lost a dear friend.

In 1977, I met Mark Lowery. We were both first year law student at OCU College of Law. One evening he asked me to to with him to see "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Science fiction is not my favorite genre of literature, but Mark's comments were inspiring. I remember how quickly and adroitly he analyzed the movie afterwards. His remarks were worthy of a newspaper criticism.

Mark had such an agile mind, and although he was generally quiet in class, Mark could fence...

mark was one of the sweetest and kindest person i have ever known.
mark and his kindness will be greatly missed.

I worked for Mark at the law office for approx. 7 years until I moved to TX in 1999. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. He was the most caring person I ever met he had a heart as big as the world and made me laugh a lot with his humor. My heart goes out to Carole and Curtis. Love you Mark and god bless you.

"Since every death diminishes us a little, we grieve...for the death as for ourselves."Lynn Caine, 1974.
Although I didn't know Mark very well, because I didn't grow up in Guymon, I was very sad to learn of his sudden passing this month.
I have enjoyed catching up with our "Class of 71" online and always appreciated Mark's efforts in setting up and maintaining the website over the years. Mark's wry commentary and liberal asides to our classmates always made me smile.

I do not know if I shall ever find the right words to describe the sorrow I feel for Mark's passing. Mark and I were good friends from the 5th grade thru highschool graduation. Although after highschool we seldom saw or managed to visit with one another , I believe there continued to be a special bond from those early years. Mark, you will be missed greatly and I hope you have found eternal happiness. May God bless you and your family.

Mark was a good friend and classmate of mine. He used to live down the street from me in Guymon, Ok. I remember Mark as a very happy and easy going person, and a really good trombone player. He played the bone with us in the Beaver Express; a World Class garage band in high school, in which I played the drums. I never got to play golf with him, though I would have liked to, because I hear he was pertty good. Guys like Mark dont come around very often, and his passing is a very sad event....

I was also a classmate of Mark's, I didn't get the news until today. I am so sorry for your loss.Mark meant so much to so many people.I know he's in a better place now.My thought and Prayers are with his family.Mark Will Be Missed..

It is difficult for me to believe that Mark is gone. He was my next door neighbor and we would walk home from school together. Mark was always so quiet but with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed having him as a neighbor, classmate and friend. I was also privileged to travel some with the Beaver Extress Band and the fun we had. The last few years, I have throughly enjoyed the website he created and will miss his talent immensely. I was very sad to hear of his death. My sincere...
