Everyone was shocked hearing about Mark's death...such a great young guy with wonderful parents, brother, sister, their families,& his beautiful lady. People lined up at the Funeral Home, Mass and Cemetery. He was loved by so many. I was sitting next to young men & women sobbing in Mass. This tells alot about the man!

To all the Mitchells -

I just heard the sad news tonight. Though I probably haven't seen Mark (a.k.a. "Mini," "Junior") in 25 years, his passing leaves me stunned. I can still see his smile, and hear his laugh. To me, he'll always mean Cranford, the Yankees, the Clash, and a homerun he hit off me in stickball that still hasn't landed.

We only just found out about this sudden & terrible loss... Mark was a very special & charismatic person that will be missed by so many whose lives that he has touched. Our hearts, thoughts & prayers go out to your whole family from ours.
With deep sadness & sympathy, The Wiktor Family

I met Max last year in San Francisco, CA during the Phish Greek Theater run, and we became fast phriends. He is a wonderful person, with a big heart, who will be forever missed. May you rest is peace Maxilla.

To the Mitchell Family,

I was one of Mark's Unami Park buddy's playing baseball by the tennis courts whenever we could, and I remember him from those days as a tremendous athlete who dominated Cranford Little League from the mound. For ten-year old boys in 1973 Cranford, he was Koufax.

I am saddened and shocked by his sudden passing and will remember the twinkle in his eye and love of life. Our condolences to the Mitchell family and to those who loved him.
