MARK J. MOLODET FORMERLY OF HAMMOND, IN Mark J. Molodet, age 56, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Las Vegas. Those that cherish the memories of Mark are: his father, John A. Molodet; sisters: Dawn (Mariano) Flores of Merrillville and Dana (Jeff) Kiral of Hammond; nephews: Martin and Matthew Flores; niece, Christa Flores, all of Merrillville, IN; uncles: Victor (Ruth Ann) Molodet of Greensboro, NC and George (Sharon) Molodet of Highland, IN; loving cousins: Steve and Judy Molodet, Charlotte Grant, Kerry Vrabel, Becky Koliboski, Tom Molodet, Joyce Devich; many second cousins and dear friends; as well as special friends: Rich Lenski and guardian angel, Jeff Burr, of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Molodet; brother, David; grandparents; aunts and uncles. Mark had lived in Las Vegas for the last six years where he worked in the security field and as a slot technician. He grew up in the Hessville section of Hammond, IN and graduated from Morton High School in 1973. Mark attended Indiana State University, worked summers at Wicker Park Pool, and IDOT for many years. He liked to travel and lived in California, Michigan, and back to Indiana while working for Harrah's Casino. Mark was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and the Cubbies. He enjoyed music, painting, fishing and golfing. Funeral prayers will be said on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 801 W. 73rd Ave, Merrillville. Services will conclude at the church. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Geisen Funeral Home, Merrillville. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Molodet, very sorry for your loss. Mark was a good friend and he shared his love of music, sports and fishing with me. We had many laughs at Wicker Park. I know he is sitting on cloud with David and catching all the ones that got away. He will truely be missed. God Bless
