Mark S. Clanton MD, MPH

Mark and I went to grammar school together in New Orleans. He was always very smart, very quiet, and very kind. I often wondered what happened to my old friend, and I am saddened to learn that he has passed away. I have no doubt that he brought love, joy, and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know him as an adult. Deepest condolences to his family and keeping you in prayer.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mark through the American Cancer Society. I will always remember him as a thoughtful, kind and compassionate physician and leader who made many positive contributions to health services in Texas. My sincere condolences to his family.

Mark and I attended Howard University together. We were close friends. We reconnected once he moved to Dallas, but never had an opportunity to see each other in person. He was a great person and a true friend. Camille Stearns Miller

Mark was a man of great accomplishments who had excellent leadership ability, motivational skills, and talent. He was a great friend to many and will be sorely missed.
