Overby, Mark Edward born Sept. 9, 1965 in South Korea, joined our family just before his 5th birthday. Mark is survived by his loving family; parents, Phil and Eve; son, Maxwell; former wife, Anne; sister, Martha; brother, Philip (wife, Ioanna) and niece, Isabel. Mark brought joy to all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor and fun, with a contagious laugh and charismatic presence. Mark was also profoundly aware of those less fortunate than himself. His generosity and warmth were extraordinary. Mark graduated from Breck School and attended St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 10:30 am at Central Lutheran Church, 333 S. 12th St. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Central Lutheran Church Foundation, Lutheran Social Services or Camp Amnicon (Central Lutheran Church). I attended Breck with Mark from 6th through 8th grade. Mark was such a wonderful person. Even after 28 years, my memories of him are so vivid. I remember looking up to Mark as a little kid. We would play football - Mark & I against Phillip and John Wedl. Those were great times. I am so sorry for your loss. Bless all of you.
