I´m still missing Mark! He was a fantastic Cougar booster. He was professional and accurate as shot clock keeper for men´s and women´s basketball games and camps. Most of all, he was a kind and gentle person lived by all he met. RIP dear Cougar friend. We still miss you. Coach Shilts

Still missing this guy! Just watched a video where he did a "Cougar Chop" at one of our basketball games at KVCC. Mark was a genuine and gentle giant. He was hands down the finest shot clock operator in the state of Michigan! We continue to miss him!

He was different from the others; he was Mammaw's special one.

Born last in line of nine, to be the youngest son.

He found joy and pleasure in life…in all the simple things.

Baseball cards, saving his pennies and playing with his strings.

“You just wanna aggravate me, do ya?” is what he would say.

When all us rotten kids would come running in his way.

Mark was a wonderful human being. His presence in the KVCC Athletic program over the years gave it an ingredient that helped to make it special. Wonderful stories of a special human being abound. I searched this AM to learn the time and date of the funeral only to see that I had already missed it. I am so sorry Sheila. I certainly wanted to be there. I will cherish those last days I was able to visit with you both. Mark's genuine, honest, and transparent approach to life will be missed by...

I met Markie Peebles on Alpine .... he moved when we were young, but every time I saw him, he remembered who I was and always greeted me with a happy smile. Prayers for his family.

My sympathies go out to your entire family. I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Mark as Gurnia's little brother when we were growing up in Kalamazoo. Prayers go out to you all also.
