Corridan Funeral Home - Chicopee Obituary

Chicopee- Mark A. Provost, 71, a longtime resident of Chicopee, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2024.  The son of the late Raymond F. and Helen M. (Klett) Provost, Mark was born in Springfield on January 13, 1953.  He graduated from Springfield Technical High School in 1972, and went on to receive his Bachelor’s of Science from Springfield College in 1976 and later his Master’s in Business Administration from AIC.  In September of 1992, he married Deborah (Danahy) Provost, and together they have celebrated 32 years of marriage.  Mark worked for Baystate Medical Center and Baystate Reference Labs for 42 years, before retiring as Project Manager in 2016.  He enjoyed golfing - having played in many leagues at Franconia Golf Course over the years, reading, and a fine chardonnay.  In addition to his wife, Mark is also survived by his son, Matthew R. Provost and his wife, Mckensie, of Windsor, CA, his beloved dogs, Brandy and Mathew, as well as many extended family members and close friends.  Funeral services for Mark will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, beginning at 10:15am from Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, in Springfield at 11:30.  Burial will immediately follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, in Chicopee.  Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 25, from 4:00 to 7:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mark’s name can be made to the Sacred Heart Renovation Fund, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01104.  To share a memory or to leave your condolences for the family, please visit www.CorridanFuneral.com

I worked with Mark at Baystate Medical Center in the late 70s and early 80s and remember fondly his love for Mustangs and his first 4 wheel drive Subaru Great times and fond memories. Rest in peace Mark you were one of my best co-workers and friends from BMC.
