Mark and I were RAs together at OCE, 1977-78. I remember him as a kind and gentle friend. We laughed together often. I am so saddened to learn of his death and send his family my most sincere condolences.

We were so sorry for your loss of a great teacher, father and friend. Mark was one of the first people I met in my first year teaching in Roseburg, Oregon. My husband and I taught at Joseph Lane Junior High and Mark was our great friend and colleague. We had lots of fun times together as we learned how to navigate teaching.
