Not sure what to say?

Dear Family and Friends of Mark:

For ten years, Mark and I flew together at TWA. I'm sure it will come as no surprise to anyone, that "The Roz" was both well liked, and more importantly, well respected by all who knew him. Roz was on that short list of "Captains you just have to fly with."

Mark's urbane sense of humor and genteel personality made flying with him a very pleasant experience. The one disagreement we had was over the proper use of objective case...

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

I learned this from Mark during a very difficult time. His words are still a comfort to me and my family.
Mark, thank you for being such an amazing person. I will see you again one day.

I knew Mark very well, and went to the university of miami with him. This is a very great loss to me, as he was one of the key people I admired in my life. We did many things together, and he was a very close friend in those years. I am devestated by this, and want the family to know..this was a truly fine and good man.

I just learned of the passing our dear friend days ago, wanting to write something immediately, i decided to wait until i found the right words. But, i figured i would never have the right words to write, no matter how long I wait.
Mark was not just a dear friend to our family, he was part of our family. Mark was always welcome in our homes and invited to all our family holidays and special events. He was always a gentleman and diplomatic to everyone he met. He always carried himself...

I just learned of the passing of our dear friend Mark days ago, wanting to post something immediately, I decided to wait to have the right words to write. But, I decided, I don't think i could ever find the right words no matter how long I wait.
Mark was more than a friend to myself and my family, He was part of our family. He was always a gentleman and respected by all.
He's my mom's dearest friend. She brought Mark into our family and he took us all in with open arms... and we...

Our dearest Mark. How you have impacted the lives of our family and especially mom. I can't begin to count the endless phone calls with the two of you talking about everything under the sun and all of the things in the world. The many times you spent with us changed our days and lives and made our happy occassions truly a happier place. You are so loved by us and are family to us. You are a genuine treasure to find in the world and to come into the lives of others there are few you meet along...

our dearest Mark , we just heard the world lost one of the most precious and beloved men who ever lived.... that was you. i wish i had told you how much you meant to our family and especially my mother Pat and to thank you for always " being there " for us all. the last time i saw you at thanksgiving in 09 you were all dressed up in your pilot uniform and on your way back to work but as always still made time to stop by and spend some time with us..... i only wish it could have lasted...

Mark and I were in grammar school together (Saint Ambrose in Rochester), but it wasn't until attending Bishop Kearney High School that we became friends. Our schedules were practically identical, from Br. Barry's math class to English with Br. Nardi. We had many great conversations, jokes, and good times.

My sympathy and prayers go out to his whole family. I will continue to remember Mark in my daily Mass.

May he rest in peace.
