Mark Ambrose Santistevan, age 57, beloved father, brother, and son, Mark Ambrose Santistevan was born on March 28, 1957 in Springer, NM to Dorothe and Pete Santistevan, slightly premature, but a fighter, and he left this life the same way, prematurely, but demonstrating all the strengths that he was endowed with. He excelled in math and science and had a keen sense of observation and intellect. Always active in his own education, he continued to pursue his passion of physics throughout his life. Mark served honorably in the United States Army from 1975 - 1998, and then graduated with honors from NM Highlands in 1982 with a double major in Math and Physics. He was a talented jeweler and woodcarver as well, who employed mathematically precise geometries to create beautiful furniture and religious artwork. His work is on display at Sangre de Cristo church in Peralta, NM, and at the Montez Gallery in Truchas, NM. Mark was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Michael, and Myron; and sister, Patricia. He is survived by his first wife, Robin Caldwell; second wife, Ellen Santistevan; his children, Lauren and husband, Ryan, Janis, John, Margareta, Dorothe and fiancé, Dan, and Mark Jesus; grandchildren, Phillip Martinez, Miguel and Liana Fernandez; father, Pete Santistevan Sr.; siblings, Peter, Anna and husband, Paul LeFebre, Ellen and husband, Leroy Salazar, Patrick and wife, Judy, and Matthew and wife, Brigette; sister-in-law, Christina Santistevan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Is...Is... Lovely Man...
Think about you all the time.

I miss you everyday. I know that you're at Peace.

Dear Ellen and Family,

I was sad to hear of Mark's passing. I called people in the parish to be sure they knew and for them to offer prayers. My heart goes out to all of you.

My condolences to the Santistevan family.
I often wondered if Mr. Pete Santistevan was still with us. My Father and Mother, Domingo and Fabiola Montoya were so fond of the senior Mr. Santistevan and Dorhte, he was an out-standing educator in Wagon Mound and the area lost one of the best when he moved to Bernalillo. The children were all much younger than I, therefore I never knew them but if they grew up as kind and respectful as their parents, I am sure they brought much pride to the...

I was very saddened to hear of Mark's passing. Much too soon. It was great to see him not to long ago. It had been a long time. He was still the same Mark that I knew forty years ago. Handsome as always and just as sweet and kind with such a nice smile. I have a lot of great & wonderful memories of not only Mark but of his family as well. May God comfort your hearts, keep you close to Him and bless you all tremendously. Psalm 62:5 "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from...
