Not sure what to say?

Mark was a great friend and an even better person. His wife and children were his great pride and joy, and he spoke of them often. Never without a new project or adventure, he embraced life with all of its possibilities. I was honored to know him for over four decades, and will miss his camaraderie, his curiosity, his know-how, and his humor. My deepest sympathies to his loving family.

As I write this I find myself still in shock about the loss of Mark. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Scherer family and can only imagine the pain your family feels. I've known Mark since our fraternity days back in Madison when we became fraternity brothers but I can truly say Mark was like a brother. Mark was one of those guys that I always loved spending even a nanosecond with because he was perpetually optimistic and made everybody feel that he enjoyed their presence...And Mark's wry sense of humor was second to none...A genius wit was but one of his many great gifts to mankind. We will all miss you our friend...

My condolences to all the Sherer family. Mark was a friend that we will all miss.
