Mark Schulthess

It has been an honor and a privilege to have had a friend like Mark. Growing up together in Enfield, boyscouts and then going in the Army in the Buddy plan. Unfortunately, we both got the same cancer. But it brought us closer and that was special. Most guys, as they get older don't make new friends easily, but Mark had more best friends than anybody I know. Huge void in my life with you gone. Still blown away by the miracle you sent me a few days later. Love you

Mark was a good man. He was smart, compassionate and enthusiastic in doing all he could to bring improvement to the people and causes he cared for. I met him as a brand new paramedic at VEMS and he had a huge impact, first working to get me to become a successful paramedic and then inspiring me to become a PA and ultimately succeed him in his role at Griffin. He left a big wake.

Mark, I'll remember you for volunteering at the Saint Raphael's Pediatrics evening clinic, and, for your advice to "Join the Guard." You were a dedicated dad, grandfather, husband, and Soldier.
