I remember a letter Mark had written to his dad which was displayed in Reba and Moshe´s home. Mark was very proud of being an attorney but in the letter he stressed how Moshe had risen through the ranks at the post office with little help while he(Mark), received tremendous support and guidance from Reba and Moshe. I last saw that letter about 20 years ago but it left an indelible impression on me of Mark´s great love for his parents and his wonderful character .

The world lost a good man, and far too soon. Condolences to Barb and family. I have fond remembrances of the college days with him at Phi Delta Theta.

I was so sorry to hear of Marks passing. We were fraternity brothers and Mark was one of the reasons I chose to join our house. He was one of the good guys. I will miss seeing him.
My deepest condolences to the entire family; especially to Barb.

Mark Shames was a wonderful caring and most admirable person I could ever know. He was truly a gem of a Judge he will be sorely missed by his beautiful wife Barbara and his children and grandchildren. I know I will miss seeing him with his wife and May God Bless him.

I remember Mark as a warm, smart, funny and genuinely nice person. We saw each other as kids when the cousins would get together in Jersey. I am not surprised Mark was loved and respected by his peers and that he eagerly helped so many of his colleagues. We are deeply saddened by his passing .
