Not sure what to say?

Dear Jessica: We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Mark was a proud husband and father.

It seems like yesterday we were all together in Lacombe and going to Mrs. Shirley's house.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and please do not hesitate to call on us anytime.

Jessica, so sadden to hear about your dad. He was my boss at Care Terminal. I remember when he was so proud of the article that Teen Magazine was writing about you and him. May God Bless you Always.

Jessica, we just learned of your dad's death from Frank Aguilar. We know how close you were to him and remember him as a wonderful person and a loving father to you. We hope you are doing as well as possible.

I am so saddened by your loss, Jessica. What an amazing man your dad was. Do you remember him doing facials with us at Mary's 10th birthday party? I think he even painted his nails pink. He was both mom and dad to you and a testament of the purest form of love. I never saw him that he didn't brag. He loved you as if there was no one else on earth to love . . . you will always be the light of his life. He and your mom are together again -- and she's thanking him for a job well done. ...

Mark's life should be a best selling book and movie. It was an intense love story for his wife and daughter. He knew passion, grief, amazing adventures, purpose and was full of love and compassion for humanity. His love for his daughter was obvious to everyone who ever met him! Mark's story is unique and one I'll never forget. The world has lost a great man. My heart goes out to his family and the deep grief they are all feeling. His life was far too short and he'll be greatly missed.

Jessica, just a note to say how sorry I was to hear Mark had passed. We had dinner together a few weeks ago in New Orleans. He shared the work being done at the house and he always
talked about you.We talked about our faith and our walk but mostly we talked about our daughters. He loved you so much and he would just light up as he shared what you were doing in your life.May God keep and bless you.

Jessica and the Sheppard family:

God bless you all and help you through this difficult time. Mark was a great friend and I will miss him tremendously.

I would like to share this poem with you all and hope that you find comfort in its words.

Death is Nothing at All

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my...

What a beautiful service for an incredible man. I loved the ending, "Here Comes the Sun"....It IS alright!! He is dancing with Dorothy now.

I became Mark's travel agent in 2005. He was always a pleasure to work with. He often mentioned Jessica and we tried to work some of his trips around visting with her. I was shocked and deeply saddened by his passing. God Bless the family he left behind.
