Not sure what to say?

An honor to have met him. Broke the mold~~

Mark was an American Icon who enlightened us with his cogent perspectives on current issues that emanated from his guiding principles of truth and integrity. His presence among us as a man of truth has served to make this world a better place for all.

We loved your kindness, humor, passion, knowledge, and ability to talk to anyone. A great member of the Irish family, Mark. We are grateful you lived! NPR friends in Seattle

My condolences.

Thank you for sharing Mark with the rest of us. He will be missed!

Condolences to family and love ones. May the family be comforted by the unfailing love of your heavenly Father.

Looked forward to Mark’s Friday night discussions with David Brooks on the NewsHour, always polite, intelligent and witty. He helped me make sense of the past week’s political happenings and always admired his love and faith in our country. Especially loved seeing him at the ice cream shop in Dennis on Cape Cod in the summer.

Wise, astute, earnest, blunt when called for, and dryly witty - everything the best journalists should be. Plus a lovable aspect which made Mark welcome in the living rooms of news followers across the world. Deepest respect Mark Shields.
