When I was Dean of the VCU School of Engineering, Mark was a member of the Foundation Board of Directors. I was always impressed by Mark´s kindness, generosity, and humility. His life was one of enormous accomplishment and remarkable insight about the meaning of life. I am honored and grateful to have known Mark as a wise mentor and a kind friend.
