Mark Strathy passed away on May 18, 2015 in Seattle, Washington. The obituary was featured in The Seattle Times on May 31, 2015.
Grew up in Lake Forest Park down the road from Mark. We were best friends for years 1959-1964 and hung out almost every day. Donn and Lael were friends of my parents as well. I went by Donn and Laels in 2005 to see Mark but unfortunately he had gone back east. Many fond memories with Mark. Saddens me terribly to know he passed.

Marie and I can empathize with your grief. We have lost 2 of our 4 children -- one (Caroline) at age 33 and the other (Mark) last August at 56, both in Minneapolis, our home until 3 years ago. Now back home in Seattle, we'd be pleased to share our recovery process with you. Our deepest condolences.

I remember Mark at family gatherings with a great sense of humor. He always reminded me of his grandfather, Ralph. Ralph and Florence, his grandmother, were so proud of him. They dearly missed him when he moved to the East Coast to pursue his Art Career. He will be missed by many. I am truly sorry for your loss, Donn, Lael and family.
