Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear the tragic news. I met Mark in grade school where we had several classes together. He was always very kind and personable and a true-blue friend. It might seem trivial now, but I'll never forget that Mark always stuck up for me and was never swayed by kids who wanted to pick on me. He was always upbeat. Although we went to the same schools, even through college, I kind of lost track of Mark, but everything I am reading here is exactly the Mark I knew. He clearly...

Mark was larger than life in everything that he did and he will be deeply missed. I had the pleasure of working with Mark for ten years at Bayer. I was always inspired by his boundless energy and his positive outlook. He helped shape the person that I am today and I will always look back on my time with Mark with the fondest of memories. Cheri and the girls remain in the thoughts and prayers of my family.

I did not work with Mark, but I worked there at Bayer for a while in security. The few times I spoke to Mark he was an outstanding person and very nice. I send all my prayers to his family and friends.

He only knew me as Bernie's little sister, Sissy. He always tolerated my presence as I hovered around he and my brother, doing silly things to interupt what ever they were doing. They were in High School, and they were "cool." No matter what I did, no matter how obnoxious, Mark was always sweet and kind to me. I will never forget that about him. My condolences go out to his family, I am so sorry for your loss.

I was very saddened to hear about Mark's accident. I remember riding our bikes everywhere imaginable, playing pool in the basement, and listening to the newest records. He made our "dorky" years of growing up memorable. My sincerest sympathies to his family.

I did not know Mark well, and it was in a professional capacity. But in my very first meeting with Mark I could see the seeds of great leadership. He was smart, attentive, authentic and caring. It was an honor to know him, even briefly. My deep sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues.

Cheri & Girls -

What a shock to hear of Mark's accident. We both worked with him at KC before transferring to Bayer/Berkeley, and had the highest regards for him. He was a true gentleman who was always friendly and optimistic while focused on achieving his high goals. We're certainly aware of the huge loss to Bayer, and more importantly to you. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and we share your sadness.

Cheri -
I work with your friend Claudia Harp. She shared with me the sad news of your husband's untimely and tragic death. I felt drawn to sign the guest book and reach out to you. I lost my husband Jim, 9 months ago to a tragic bicycling accident. Although no circumstance or relationship is the same, the grief process that is felt when you lose your husband in such a way is so very unique. If you ever need a listening ear; I would be honored to be that to you. You can get my...
