Not sure what to say?

Kathy, I was so sad to learn today of Mark´s passing. We were friends many years ago when he played tennis for SMU. He used to stay with me in the early 80´s whenever he played in a tournament in Corpus Christi. He called me out of the blue within the last year following running into a mutual friend in NB who had my phone number. We talked for quite awhile, catching up with each other. He asked me, half joking, if I happened to have a championship belt that he received after winning a...

I will remember Mark as a curious and playful soul. He was habitually interested in what was going on in the neighborhood. When I would walk by his house he would always take the time to walk over and talk to me, even when he was in declining health. He never complained much about his illness, he just accepted it. I will miss him.

Mark was one of the kindest and happiest persons I have ever known. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile. A true disciple of Jesus Christ even from the time I first met him as a college soph. He was also a great tennis player and camp director.

I worked at T Bar M Sports Camp for about 10 years and that is where I got to know Mark and Kathy. They were always so friendly and personable..always. Mark was especially caring towards my son, Matt. One day Matt was driving out to TBARM to have lunch with me and had a bad wreck. Mark was passing by and he and Kathy stopped because they recognized us standing there. They hugged us and stayed with us until they came and towed the car away. Mark called to check on Matt that night and Kathy...

We are so saddened to learn of Mark´s passing but we celebrate a life well-lived. Our deepest sympathies for the whole Turpin family. The Turpin family is a legacy of generosity, impact and love. May they receive all this and more at this tender time.

Mark was an amazing man and I am thankful to have called him a friend. Everytime I saw Mark, no matter how long between our last visit, Mark always had a huge smile on his face and was friendly and welcoming. He loved telling us about his famous grass tennis court he kept in the front yard. I´ll always remember the time he invited me to play a few point on it. Mark will be missed by many, and his impact on the many lives he touched will never be forgotten. See you again someday Mark!

Mark was so kind and nice- he even let me hit some balls in his Front Lawn court. Great memories!

I am so sorry for your loss. The last several years Mark & I really enjoyed chatting whenever we had the opportunity. I will sincerely miss him & our chats. If you need anything at all, please reach out. I am always available.
