Not sure what to say?

So sorry to see this news so late. I was a classmate of Mark´s older brother John "Tom" at Parks and worked with both of them at McDonnell Douglas. I found Mark´s obituary after Googling his name upon finding an entry in my first pilot logbook. That entry showed that I took Mark on his first ever airplane ride on 10/22/1984. Despite being a smart, kind and funny fellow, he also must have been quite brave, seeing as he was only my 3rd passenger ever, the first 2 being family! He wanted to...

I just learned of Mark's passing. We worked on a project together in 2006 and I always appreciated how Mark treated me. We remained in contact including his efforts to come up with gifts against the family theme at Christmas. May his remaining family carry the positive spirit that he exuded.

To Mark's family, My condolences on your loss. Mark was a great guy with a wonderful spirit. He always had something nice to say. My thoughts are with you.

Sad to hear of wonderful Mark's passing. I so appreciated his humor, inquisitiveness, and good nature. Love, Frank O'Neill

I worked with Mark more than 20 years ago and our paths haven't crossed since, but I valued his friendship and humor and admired his abilities as an engineer. He was curious about the big issues and we had a number of conversations about these deeper and more lasting elements of life. I am saddened by his passing and hope that God's comfort will be real for his family and loved ones.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mark. I have not seen him in years (if I recall, the last time would have been many years ago at Damiansville church picnic), but just thinking of him brings a smile to my face...what a truly delightful man! I knew him from TEC when he was a very young man. I will keep his family in my prayers. Mark is resting in the arms of Jesus. God's peace.

My thoughts and prayers to each one of the family. Mark was my classmate at Mater Dei. I am saddened to hear the news of his passing - what a terrific guy! He always had a smile to share - he will be truly missed. Very sorry for your loss!

Dear Family Members,

I'm deeply saddened to hear this news. Mark was my classmate at Mater Dei. He was always friendly, kind, outgoing, and had a great sense of humor. He was a very special and unique individual. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this sad time.

My prayers and sympathy to all the family! I had the pleasure of knowing Mark growing up near Marydale, I lived "across the creek" in Beaver Prairie. Mark and I shared memories of religion classes and CYO often as we were reunited as classmates at Mater Dei. We played trombones in the band so we sat next to each other, we had loads of fun! It was a joy to know him, let the comfort of God fill your hearts and find peace! Sharon (Voss) Bickl class of MD 1979
