Not sure what to say?

To The Welch Family,

I have just heard of the passing of Mark. I am deeply sadden beyond words. As a young person I remember Mark vividly working along side my mom with the food pantry at Horace Bushnell. I remember the talk he had with me just before I was to get married. I have so many fond memories of him and I am going to miss him much.

Dear Beverly and Family:
Darwin and I send our heartfelt condolences. When we learned of Mark's passing it saddened us, but we know for sure that He is in a place prepared for him. Mark touched my family in so many ways too many to mention. He worked so hard with my mother Violet L. Irving and Regina Brown on so many projects all for the advancement of mankind. He married my sister Tanya(Irving)Brinson twenty-six years ago and me and Darwin twenty-five years ago. He always had time to...

To the Welch Family:

Know that Mark and I were brothers in the struggle for what the Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King called, "freedom, justice and equality."

Dearest Beverly,Alex, and family, I felt privileged to experience dear, sweet, blessed Mark's memorial. God was waiting with open arms to welcome His wonderful son-Mark with a "well done-good and faithful servant"!!.Mark embodied those words and we are all blessed to have experienced his friendship and love-Always-your sister Karen in NJ

From protesting the lack of minority workers on the civic center crew to bringing in the Rev. Jesse Jackson and starting a chapter of PUSH. Creating low income housing on Vine St and other memories to numerous to mention. I thank God for the blessing of having...
