Mark use to write letters to me to tell about his time CA. He would talk about his ferrets. I loved hearing from him. When he came home on leave he would stop by to say hello and have a beer with my husband. Mark was an amazing person. We loved him.

I was deeply saddened when I heard of Mark's passing. I had the privilege of serving with Mark while in the Marine Corps; we flew together many times, including when our helicopter squadron evacuated the American embassy in Albania. I was also the one who recommended the call sign 'Otter' for Mark. I remember him as always having a calm and uplifting way about him, and he was always there when I needed him. Although I had not spoken with Mark in quite some time, I will truly miss him. May you...
