I am so sad to hear of Dr. Wilstrup's passing. He supported me through my struggles with infertility and helped me through so many tough times. I never was able to have children or adopt. I will miss his encouragement and cheerful attitude. It meant a lot that my picture of me finishing the Disney half marathon was in his office, my maybe babies never came to be, but Dr. Wilstrup celebrated my other victories with me. My thoughts are with his family.

Dr. Wilstrup after delivering our healthy baby girl!
I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Wilstrup's passing. I was shocked when I received the note from the practice. I've been his patient since he started there back in 1984. He delivered 3 of our children. His bedside manner was such a blessing to us always. We went through a difficult time after the delivery of our first baby he delivered when we found out that he was born with not only Down's Syndrome but also with a major heart defect. The heart defect caused his death at age 1 back in 1990. ...

Dr. Wilstrup delivered my first daughter, Elizabeth Andrews, and was a source of strength to nervous parents. Liz, I hope you and the girls know how important his contribution has been to that critical moment in the lives of thousands of parents. He made those tense moments more special. He was so much more than a steady hand with a "catcher's mitt". My prayers go out to the whole family.

I was one of Dr. Wilstrup's first patients when he first started out. He was such a kind and compassionate man....always had a great big smile and a great outlook on life. He was my very first GYN doctor when I was 18, and twelve years later delivered my first child. I have not seen him in years, but he will always have a special place in my heart and in the hearts of many. I pray his memory will bring peace and comfort to his family and friends.

Almost nine years ago, I saw Dr Wilstrup as a high risk pregnancy with twins. He was funny supportive and made me feel so comfortable. I knew he was a believer by the way he spoke of his love for his family. He delivered my twins at almost full term with no major problems . I have sent a card at Christmas to his office of there progress ever since there birth. I will never forget the photo taken in the OR of him holding my twins. I shall cherish it forever. I like many cried when...
