Not sure what to say?

Growing up in Santa Monica with Mark's younger brother Flip as a best friend, I always looked up to Mark. He was a good athlete and great guy. It's hard to believe our lifetimes pass by so fast. My condolences to the entire Yaple family.

Mark a beloved brother! Tomorrow will be a year, there has not been a day without you in my thoughts. I sat by the fire pit the other night with glass of bourbon remembering our family times and comparing childhood stories of cowboying and wilderness adventures and oh yes politics.... if that didn't start heated conversations!... Also trying to find the right words for this guess book... you were always better with words and thoughts.Oh guess what Harrison Brothers has come out with a new...

My Pop, almost a year has passed, and I miss you more each day... Would love just one more chat, to record our banter On your old tape recorder we used to steal when we were little kids. I loved being able to go to you for ANYTHING, even if I was scared. Now the idea that you're not here is the scariest thing yet and I don't have you to walk me through it, like when u taught me to change m oil or fix a flat. But you installed everyone in your life with the tools to do whatever we'd need to in...

Mark was our neighbor. He was very humble & caring. His heart was as Big as the Great Outdoors that he loved. We can see him now, riding on the wings of a horse. He was loved by many. RIP Mark, Gone but never forgotten. Much Love to Debbie & Family

Mark, you were an amazing person. We have great memories of our friendship but we actually don't have enough of them. You fought a great fight. Debbie, we love you are glad that we have you to continue the friendship and the memories. Tori and Bill

I sign this book with sadness and fond memories. I think of Mark as the "big boy" of the Yaples, and our neighbor. We were the Lackeys next door. I cherish the years our boys were neighbors, schoolmates, and good friends. I can still picture them as teammates on a Little League team managed by Hal Yaple -- the Dodgers! Mark achieved stardom as one of the top players on his Dad's team. So long ago, but so clear in memory. I will always cherish the years our boys were neighbors and...

Words are not enough to express who Mark was. Life takes us all in different directions and I am regretful for not staying in better touch. He was a very special person. We went to school together and I have great memories of Mark through our time at Will Rogers Elementary, John Adams Jr High, Samohi and Santa Monica City College.

The last time I saw Mark was in Stockton in 1970 when he was playing football for Pacific and I was playing for UC Santa Barbara. We exchanged a few...

Mark was such a wonderful man, quiet, kind, and loving. I so enjoyed his Christmas cards every year. What a gift he had. I hope he has peace. How lucky he and Debbie were to have found each other! Love...

We will miss you, but will not forget you. We were like the Little Rascals and Mark was Alfala (the Pearl St. Gang)
