Obituary

ABSAROKEE - Marla Mae Flanagan, 66, of Absarokee, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at her home, of natural causes.
Marla was born Aug. 6, 1941, at Roundup, a daughter of Harley and Julia (Keosky) Klinger. She attended school in Roundup and married Thomas Flanagan, June 4, 1965. They lived most of their married life together in Colstrip and spent their retirement years in Absarokee.
Marla was preceded in death by her husband Tom; son Terry; and her parents, Julia and Harley Klinger.
Marla is survived by her brother, Larry (Patti) Klinger; aunt Eleanor; uncles, George and Fritz; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Marla enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Rosebud Cemetery, Absarokee.
Smith Funeral Chapel-Columbus was in charge of cremation. Memorials are suggested to the Absarokee Fire and Ambulance Service.

Marla's Family: I was shocked and saddened to read in this morning's paper of Marla's death. I have fond memories of her from working with her at the Ideal as well as sad ones when Terry was killed. What a neat lady!

I was very saddened by the loss of my dearest friend. I will miss her greatly. I will treasure the millions of memories I have of her and our times together in Colstrip and Absarokee. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Larry and family along with the Flanagan family.
