Not sure what to say?

It's been almost 15 years since she's been gone. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her somehow. Today is her Birthday, she would have been 55. She was most certainly a free spirit. Not a lot of people understood that about her, and were nasty to her due to that. Such a shame to lose a beautiful soul because people are unkind, they are scared of something that is not exactly like them. We as a society need to do better and teach our young to accept the differences we have and embrace...

I remember Marla at Libertyville meetings she was a beautiful girl and so sweet. Love th Barbara and Steven "Reen"

She approached me in 6th grade, shaggy hair, huge smile, and we were inseparable for years after. Every positive change I went through was because of Marla--she knew how to coax me out of my shell. She thought better of me than I did myself. She was a free spirit of love, laughter, and adventure. I searched for her constantly when we hit adulthood, but I couldn't find her. Our reunion was short and bittersweet, and I'll carry this emptiness and confusion for the rest of my life. I still talk...

Marla was my best friend during a crazy and impactful time in both our lives. I lost track of her decades ago and have searched for her online countless times.

My heart is shattered to hear she's gone.

Wow ! May Peace be with You Dina & Marla's family. It has been close to 20 years since my last contact with Marla. Marla was a very special person and made everyone she came in contact with feel the same. Marla worked for me for a very brief time in Arizona and we became friends. We spent hours at a time on the phone sharing our life experiences & directions we wanted to take in life. Marla was always very encouraging . When I would visit Chicago I would visit with Marla and she always...

To Marla's friends and family,

I wish we could tell you how much, the person Marla was loved here at work. She was such a sweet and caring person who would give you the shirt off her back. She always would listen intently to stories that I had about my kids. Would not really give advice but just be a shoulder to bounce things off of.

I so appreciated her personality, love oflife and people. she truly cared for all people.

I was fortunate to have worked with Marla. Our patients appreciated her compassion and kindness.
I will miss her smile and sense of humor. I'll remember doing a little dance in our nursing station ,and regret not being on her team during during one of our training sessions.
