We were friends and were both non-New Yorkers; she coming from PA and I from CT. She always had a nice smile. Sadly I have not seen her in many years. I am so sad to learn of her passing. I met Marla at the Orchard beach detail in the summer of 1989. We met again as Sergeants in the 33Pct. She was always a pleasure to be around. She was a good friend and I am truly saddened by her passing. May you rest in peace until we meet again. God bless and my condolences to your loved ones.

I first met Marla back in 1987 when she arrived at the 43rd Precinct of the NYPD. We became fast friends back then & continued our friendship over many years. I was so looking forward to getting together her for her upcoming birthday celebration. Marla you will be very missed. You fought a valiant battle for your health. I am sad you have left us, but happy that you are reunited with your beloved Mom in Heaven. My sincerest condolences to the Rose Family whom Marla loved very much.
