Marlene will always be alive in my heart. Though only a few years older she was a role model for me and many others as well. Her creativity was beyond compare. My love to all of her family.

Marlene Dyer was one of the most generous people I've ever met. I'll always treasure the prom dress she made for me in 1987, much of it handwork. All she asked in exchange was that I clean her windows. She was a truly kind, and thoughtful woman who will be dearly missed.

Dear Family:
Marlene and I worked together in the library at UMTRI for three years. In fact, it was Marlene who welcomed me on my first day in 1989. Marlene and I enjoyed sharing bits of our family and our lives with each other. I learned how she cared for her dear husband, that her father liked to ski until rather late in life, and that she enjoyed shopping trips to Birch Run.
Each year, Marlene would ask when the strawberries were ready to pick so she could include the information...

Family,
I worked with Marlene for 6 years and enjoyed chatting with her about family and gardening. Everyone at UMTRI was saddened to learn of her sudden passing. We are thinking of you and are glad she was with many of you in her last days.

Dear Dyer Family, Though I haven't seen your mother for years, my eyes are filled with tears at your loss. I have many memories of your mom as we went Christmas caroling together many years and did lots of other "projects". I love your family and send my condolences.

Dear family,
I am saddened and surprised to hear of Marlene's passing. She has always been a vital presence at all Scouting functions where I saw her. June found her preparing "gourmet s'mores" for our monthly leader's meeting. Only a few weeks ago, she was introducing new leaders to seasoned veterans, to smooth their path in a way she always did so well. She will surely be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Dear Anette, Even, Stephen and Charlotte,
I have such fond memories of your Mom and Dad. Your Mom had a smile that always cheered me up. I am grateful for her quiet willingness to help. She made all the arrangements for my wedding reception and made sure it was just the way I wanted it. When my parents remarried she offered to make my Moms wedding dress and 7 little matching dresses for the grand daughters who were the flower girls. My youngest daughter loved that she got to wear three...

Dear Family,
We are saddened by the loss of your mother. Her bright light has faded from our midst, a shining example of love and service.
The Dyer family has been intertwined with our lives since we have been in Ann Arbor, beginning with our wedding nearly 40 years ago. Marlene guided all of our boys to their Eagle Scout Award and each has expressed both sorrow and fond memories.
We will miss her presence here but we rejoice in knowing that she will be welcomed there by Cal...
