Not sure what to say?

Dear H.D.,

I'm so sorry to hear about Marlene's passing. She was very kind and had a warm sense of humor. It was so nice to work with you two at The Rock River Times. Many kind thoughts go out to you and your family. Take care.

My deepest sympathy to H.D. and family. H.D. and Marlene were regular route drivers for The Rock River Times, where I work, and I would see H.D. and Marlene nearly every Wednesday morning at the newspaper office. Marlene’s smile and caring nature would always help brighten my day. Marlene was one of the kindest and most sincere people I have ever met. Memories of her warmhearted nature will remain with me always.

Dear HD and Family: Although I moved from Rockford five years ago, I enjoyed Marlene and you so much when you came to the Rio Grande Valley for a couple of years. I also played duplicate and admired her bridge skills. We played bridge in Harlingen a few times and needless to say did quite well thanks to Marlene. I shall miss Marlene and treasure our trips across the Border to Mexico for supplies for her crafts. She will be missed by many -- she always had a ready smile for everybody. ...

We've only known Marlene through duplicate bridge -- a game she loved and was good at. Always a lady with a smile, Marlene made you feel welcomed when you met her at a tournament. She will be missed.

Dear HD and Family, We will miss Marlene, it is a great loss to our family. She always took the time to teach the grandchildren many crafts and always took so much time and patience with them. She had amazing computer skills. I always envied her for them. We were buddies at Hamilton Sundstrand, and had so many good times. We did a lot of walking at lunch time. Also all the film and pictures of the grandchildren, as they grew up. She always shared them with us. What wonderful memories we...

H.D. and family:
We are saddened by the passing of Marlene. Good memories will bring you comfort. Feel free to call us for help anytime.

Marlene was a good lady with a great heart. Even though we were not as close as I would like to have been, she will be greatly missed. She was a part of my dad's life for over 36 years. She made his life complete and for that I am so grateful. I will miss her.

HD and extended family.
Sad to read about Marlene but happy she is released from her pain and suffering.
She was a nice person who took her bridge seriously. I remember when she first stated playing duplicate while working for Edwards Bakery. That goes back to the late 1960'S.
HD..you were a very supportive husband and Marlene didn't hesitate to acknowledge your giving her the opportunity to play alot of bridge.
My best to all of you with fond memories of your beloved...
