Not sure what to say?

There are no words that will take away your pain, only time will help to ease it. May "the God of all comfort" (1 Cor. 1:3) help to you at this time.

My sympathies to Ruth, Floyd and all of Marlene's family. Marlene and I were great friends in high school. I remember her well and I will miss her even though she and I had not be in touch for quite a while.
Please accept my condolences. Diane Downie

My deepest sympathy to Marlene's family. Marlene had a very generous heart and spirit. She recruited me to serve on the Board of Directors of North Coast Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She mentored me to be the Treasurer, thank goodness, because I could not have done it without her kind and able assistance. BB/BS went through many changes during that time, notably evolving fund-raisers from Bingo @ Redwood Acres and Pumpkin Patch sales to the first Bowl for Kids' Sake. Marlene handled it all with...

Ruth, Floyd and family,
I was saddened to hear of Marlene's passing. I can't say anything that will make this an easier time for any of you. I can remember all of the good times I had with your family when we were kids and you lived on Frog Alley and Floyd and I would fish Williams Creek. It is the good things that we remember about those who pass before us and it is those things that you hold on to that may help make this time a little easier. God now has Marlene in His hands and may...

Dear family of Marlene, Ruth, Floyd, Jeannie and Brian, My sincerest empathy is sent to you regarding the loss of your dear one. I first knew Marlene when she was flying to Alaska to visit her new grandchildren. I have lots of memories over the past 33+ years. Marlene loved community involvement and took on lots of responsibility. She especially cherished her dog buddies and missed their companionship greatly. I remember her selling pumpkins in the Big B&S patch at Halloween, composing...

I had the pleasure of being around Marlene for just a short time, but I enjoyed her quirky sense of humor. May the comfort and grace of God be with her family and friends. She will be missed.

Ruthie, I was saddened by the news of Marlene's death and I wish to send my condolences to you, Floyd and her Grandchildren. Marlene and I have been friends since South Fork High where she was a great student and very talented girl. Later, we were able to sing in the Humboldt State and College of the Redwoods Choir. Her daughter, Jolene worked for me in Garberville at my home. I miss Jolene and will miss Marlene. The last time I had a chance to see her was at Juanita L's birthday party ...

I got to know MKarlene when we were on the Big Brother/Big Sister board together. She was an
insiring person and took her "obligations" to heart. I got to know her again when she and my father resided at Tiffany's together. She was just the same person after all that time. I will always cherish the time I knew her and worked with her.

Condolences to Marlene's family especially Jeannie of whom Marlene was very proud. Thank you for bringing her for massages as long as possible and arranging more care when she needed it.
