Marlene McLefresh

Marlene was a " shining light" in our lives. We are saddened to learn of her passing. We always stopped in to visit Uncle George and Aunt Marlene in their Dayton home when we traveled to Ohio. Never a dull conversation or idle moment! When Marlene moved to 10 Wilmington Pl., our visits continued with lunches at Archers per her guidance! There are so many wonderful things we can say about Marlene ~ this we know, she brought us much joy! We will miss you, Marlene. Love always, Rick and Donna...

I remember the 1st Thanksgiving at your house and the mashed potatoes very extra salty. You were the aunt that made me smile and laugh. I know you will keep heaven in line. Love you

This lady definitely had a piece of my heart. I can only hope I grow older to be like her. The self proclaimed boss of 10WP, my little "Judge Judy". She'd bust into my office with concerns I couldn't help but act on immediately, followed by a kiss on the head, and "love you sweeties." I never had a grandmother figure like Marlene. She literally wanted the best for everyone. She ruffled a lot of feathers, but always for the right reasons. She will be greatly missed!

Our family has known The McLefresh/Bowman Family for more than 50 years. Marlene was always gregarious and so full of life. Either playing cards or other fun games or just asking how you are doing, she was full of spirit! She so enjoyed her new home at 10 Wilmington Place where she renewed old friendships, and made plenty of new ones. A friend of ours moved in on Wilmington Ave and Marlene took her under her wing and made sure she made friends, That's the kind of caring person she was! ...

Marlene I will miss you, your wisdom, your advise and your humor. When I first meet you 2 years ago at 10 Wilmington I was intimidated by you until I noticed your loving heart. I learned to look forward to you coming to the front desk. You were so funny especially when I had to shave the perm out of my hair and you would say "oh take that wig off you are so much prettier without it". Fly high little angel with the big voice.

You will be missed I'll cherishing the memories that we have made the 4th of July parties at your home we're one of the best times I remember as a young kid. Or just stopping by to see you and George after a weekend of helping my grandfather at the flea market. We love you Aunt Marlene
