Not sure what to say?

My sister Irene Hiatt Eckersell forwarded this -- so sorry to hear --

My love to you Molly, Aaron and families. Your mom was such a special friend, even in her last days she always asked, "How are you?" so selfless and beautiful. Forever I will carry her in my heart. Dottie Shepherd

To all of our dear friends and family;
Thank you for your words of kindness and warm expressions for our mother, Marlene.
We wish you and yours the very best for 2012 and hold you close in our hearts.

Aaron and Molly, I met your parents when I moved to Oregon over 30 years ago and joined Oak Hills Church. They were such a happy couple. I have a picture of your mom hosting a baby shower for Jessica in 1981. I was sad to learn that your dad had also passed. My prayers are for you and your family at this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with the family during this time. My daughter lives next door to the home on Allan where we met Marlene and Gene. They were a wonderful and caring couple. Marlene was such a lovely and beautiful lady. She will be truely missed. Jeanette Hoover family and Alicia Coyle family.

I was a high school student in Myrtle High in 1958 when my parents house burned to the ground. Mr. O'Brien told me to go over to his house because his wife was my size and had clothes to give me. They were wonderful to me. Jean (Moore) Hughes - class of 1959

Marlene,
You were a part of the marchand clan for as long as I was alive! you were arlways poised, graceful and beautiful! I will miss you at every holiday I dont see you at from now on...

Dear Molly and Aaron,

It was very fulfilling for me to have had some tender conversations with your mother about her spiritual life these past few weeks. I loved singing her favorite hymn "It is Well With my Soul" with her and I hope the sacred harp vigil was a peaceful time for her. What a lovely soul she was!

Many Blessings,

Shakur (Spiritual Counselor with Odyssey Hospice)

My thoughts are with both Molly and Aaron. Your family was blessed with wonderful parents. I remember so many RPHS memories.
