I was so saddened to hear of Marlene's passing. I shared an office with her for two years and got to know her very well. She was the kindest and most giving person I had met in quite a while. Her love of animals and all things fragile was inspiring. She had a heart of gold. I've been missing Marlene since she retired. We had the best laughs. When I think of her I will remember her smile..it was the best. You've earned your wings, fly high my friend.

Marlene and I shared so many great times ,and some very hard times too, in the time we shared our apartment. she was my dearest friend for years, and stayed in my heart and thoughts still, so smart, so kind ,so loyal, so generous ,she brought me into her family circle, and we sure had fun, I will always smile when i think of her. Marlene was a wonderfully kind person and a great coworker. She was always available to help in any way possible when I had a project crisis. She always greeted me with a twinkle in her eye and a smile. My life is fuller for having had the opportunity of knowing her. Rest peacefully Mar.

I am truly sorry to hear of Marlene's passing. My sympathy to her family. Marlene was a very generous and kind person. At work, we'd run into each other and she'd always ask how my daughter was doing. She was sincere in the question which showed her kindness. Marlene would always buy girl scout cookies from my daughter and she'd give them to other employees. Truly a kind soul. I am thankful to have known her.
