Milsak, Marlene Poole- Marlene Poole-Milsak was born March 23, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska. Her parents were Marvin and Eileen Johnson. Her maternal great-great grandparents immigrated from Germany to Pennsylvania and later were settlers to the Nebraska territory. Her paternal great-grandparents immigrated to Nebraska from Denmark where her great grandfather was a member of the Kings's Palace Guards. Marlene was married to Gene S. Poole for over 38 years. They combined families, later having one child together. They lived 17 years in Jackson, Mississippi, and later moved to The Colony, Texas. She is preceded in death by Gene S. Poole. Marlene was elected to The Colony City Council, Place 6 for three terms, elected Republican Precinct Chairman for three terms. She was a member of several local political and social organizations. She was a charter and founding member of St. Peter's by the Lake Episcopal Church and The Colony Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She served four years as a planning and zoning commissioner Marlene was married to Eugene "Nicky" Milsak for 10 years, and they resided in The Colony. He preceded her in death May 12, 2011. She is survived by three daughters Kimberly Smith of Jackson, MS, Eileen Clark, Little Elm, TX and Rhonda Scala, Flower Mound, TX; two sons, Brian Poole, Jackson, MS and Marvin Poole, The Colony, TX.; and step children, Richard Milsak, Hot Springs, AR, James Milsak, Corpus Christi, TX and Timothy Milsak, Arlington, TX. She leaves 10 grandchilden and 4 great-grandchilden. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancee Petersen, her brother, Dennis Johnson and step daughter, Cynthia Gerasimatos. A celebration of Marlene's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
