1938 ~ 2016
On June 14, 2016 our angel on Earth returned to the presence of her Heavenly Father. Marlene Moulton Riggs was born on Mother's Day, May 8, 1938 to Alma George and Hilda Jean Milner Moulton. She was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 18, 1958 to Vaughn Riggs.
She was a quintessential caregiver beginning with her eight children and continually reaching out to many others. Compassion and generosity were true hallmarks of her life. She epitomized the definition of charity as the true love of Christ, always putting others in front of herself. Family and the pursuit of gospel truths were her highest priorities.
Welcomed beyond the veil by her father, mother and brother, Blaine. She lives on in the hearts of her family; Vaughn, Jennifer (David) McMurtrie, Scott (Diane), Michelle (Mitch) Lacy, Julie (Guy) Lewis, Melanie Fuller, Brian (Katie), Nathan (Shelly), Sherri (David) Somers, 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her brother Grant. We are comforted and grateful for the knowledge that we will be united with our angel once again.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23 at 11 A.M. at the Riverton 9th Ward, 13400 S. 3113 W., Riverton, UT. A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 22 from 6-8 P.M. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 S. 2200 W., Riverton, UT and one hour prior to services. Interment at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery. broomheadfuneralhome.com

Not sure what to say?

Sorry from cousins Debra Howland Brown and David Brown.

With my deepest Sympathy

Dear Sherri,

I was sorry to read of the passing of your dear mother.

I remember going to visit as her visiting teacher years ago. She was always so kind and gracious. She was a hard worker. She loved caring for her family who she loved very much

Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord encircle you in his arms in the days ahead and give you peace and comfort.

My deepest sympathy,
