Marlene “Sue” M. Schneider, 71, of 17 Fountain Circle in Fond du Lac died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Hospice Home of Hope. Marlene was born March 14, 1932 in the Town of Calumet, a daughter of Arlin and Ethel Strebe Huebschman. On January 13, 1951 she was married to Anthony “Tony” Schneider at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg by the late Rev. Benjamin Blied.

Marlene worked as a cashier at Fleet Farm and later worked at Wisconsin Axel Credit Union in Oshkosh as a micro-filmer from where she retired in 1994. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary’s Church . She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, gambling, and attending her grandchildren’s events.

Survivors include her husband ;Anthony “ Tony” Schneider of Fond du Lac, nine children; Wendy (Robert) Plawski of Medford, WI and their children Timothy (Lori and great grandson Andy) Plawski of St. Peters, MO and Daniel (special friend Susan) Plawski of Madison, Catherine (Butch) Drew of Fond du Lac and their children Sara Drew of Ft. Lewis, WA and Benjamin Drew of Fond du Lac, Raymond (Catherine) Schneider of Boulder Junction and their daughter Erica Schneider of Eau Claire, Joan (Paul) Mittlesteadt of Middleton, WI, Chuck (Julie) Schneider of Fond du Lac and their son Christopher, Diane (Joe) Thome of Malone and their children Lindsay, Jessica, Tyler, and Elizabeth, Bill (Beth) Schneider of Malone and their children Justin and Olivia, Rose (Tim) Ahern of Fond du Lac and their children Brendan, Sean, Egan, Owen, and Colin, Bob (special friend Tracy) Schneider of Fond du Lac, one son-in-law; Mark (Maureen) Kraus of Fond du Lac and their children Jacob and Adam, her mother; Ethel Huebschman of Fond du Lac, one brother; Elroy (Connie) Huebschman of North Fond du Lac, two sisters; Mary (Karl) Krueger of Fond du Lac and Nancy (Joe) Murphy of Eden, one sister-in-law; Rita Huebschman of North Fond du Lac, her in-laws; Olive Richter of Fond du Lac, Martha (Al) Laudolff of Lamartine, Frances Stubbe of North Fond du Lac, Pat (Robert) Pittler of Fond du Lac, Mary (Lee) White of Fond du Lac, John (Marion) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Ed (Marie) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Al (Bette) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Leo (Carol) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Vic (Mary Lou) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Jim (Judy) Schneider of Fond du Lac, and Evie Schneider of Peebles.

She was preceded in death by her father, two children; Debra and an infant son Charles, one brother; David, and her mother and father-in-law; Victor and Frances Schneider brother-in-laws Gerald Richter, Williard Stubbe, and Norbert Schneider.

Visitation for Mrs. Schneider will be held on Friday, December 26, 2003 from 3-8:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 9:30 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary’s Church with the Rev. Victor Capriolo officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Marlene’s name may be directed to Hospice Hope or the Holy Family Parish Building Fund.
