My condolences to Marlene´s family. We were close friends, confidants and lunch buddies while working at the Farm. We did antiquing together, explored cemeteries when she was doing Shoemaker genealogy and I got to be the recipient of her many jokes. She always kept me laughing even when life wasn´t so kind to her. She will definitely be missed by her family and friends.

Marlene is more than just a close friend . She is family to me abd my husband Jun. I enjoyed times with her together sharing a cod sandwich at Culvers (her favorite) and breakfast at Black Bear and diners in Arizona . We shared birthdays together in her last 3 years of her life. I will surely miss her laugh but will treasure her forever in my heart. Bon voyage Marlene.

I loved Marlene, we were close when we each had a husband in Viet Nam. I lost track of her many years ago. She was a lovely person.
