Read MoreI worked in the cube next to Marlin's at the Fred Meyer Main Office for years until he retired. He always started the day with a friendly chat, and had a bottomless well of stories to draw upon. He was a kind man that was nice to everyone. Smart and funny. Wise. I'll miss you Marlin.

Marlin was such as special brother. There were 10 years difference in our age, but he let me hang out with him anyway. I was always welcome to polish his boots, iron his clothes or many other tasks which let me just be with him while he studied etc. My favorite memories were learning to dance on his boots to the tune "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash. And of course enjoying his many pets including our skunk and magpie. Oh how I will miss my big brother. I'm sorry you (Marlin) did not get to enjoy...
